I have had so many believers demand of me that I prove to them evolution is true. They want me to be able to show them what they’ve worked their entire life to avoid and deny. They want me to educate them when they condemn and chastise the educators that were actually entrusted with that duty. Whenever you enter in to a discussion with someone that doesn’t “believe” in evolution realize that you are speaking to someone who has actively gone out of their way to be ignorant. That is the type of insurmountable odds you are up against in attempting to talk to someone like that.

One of the things that makes me most hopeful about the future of non-believers is the large amount of youth behind the movement. These people will grow up without the guilt and shame that religious brings to so many. Even as someone that escaped religion early in life I am sometimes reminded of the lingering superstitions I haven’t completely shaken off. The future doesn’t always look bright, but I am hopeful that with a generation of people who value the world and reality over fiction and fantasy, we can accomplish great things. We can accomplish more than any generation before. If you’ve escaped religion, consider yourself lucky, and pay that forward to the rest of the world for a brighter future.
