Due to constant misunderstanding with my name I feel the need to change my intro. I am hateful, hateful of religion. I hate what religion does to people and that people use it as an excuse to not think. I have spent many years of my life as an Atheist and have learned to handle my emotions, but no other word quite describes how I feel towards religion short of hate. I am outspoken, open minded, and will share my opinion. If you're looking for someone who will always agree with you, that won't be me.

Question with 7 notes

Anonymous asked: do you believe humans will ever wipe religion from the face of the earth or at least 99.99% of it?

It’s hard to say when it will ever get to that point but I think it is an eventuality. I think that a lot of religion will linger on in “cult” forms long after it has lost its acceptance and practical use. At that point it will also have lost its influence on society and a great number of people and will treat it like a fringe element with people that are somewhat deluded.

I think the biggest thing is turning the corner from being religious to being non-religious as a whole. Once the non-religious fully outnumber the religious it is simply a matter of time before it dwindles down to almost nothing. Once it is no longer the society norm more people will question it and be honest about their beliefs. They will be able to look at religion more critically and realize how far from reality it is.

At a certain point once it no longer has a hold religion will start to crumble down on its own. People have been speculating for a long about when it would happen but religion finds its way to surge back into popularity. Each time a little less and a little less. I think finally people are moving away from it enough that it will be next to impossible for it to gain a huge surge in popularity and acceptance like it did in the Cold War. Its on the way out, I just hope its not too late for us.
