Question with 12 notes
alittlebitofmostlyeverything-de asked: It's interesting that you don't appear to like agnostics. I'm sure you'll be well aware that agnostics can't decide whether God exists or not and are open to both possibilities. Atheists always get so angry when someone tries to say that there is a God and argue that there is no proof for one. But, then where is the 100% absolute proof that he doesn't exist? It is impossible to prove or disprove God's existence with 100& evidence. You shouldn't be so critical of agnostics.
Perhaps you should become a bit more familiar with the definition of these terms before you attempt to criticize someone else on their view. It is not that an agnostic “can’t decide”, even though that is how many of them attempt to use it, an agnostic is someone who says that we can not know for certain if god does or does not exist. That is absolutely all that it means to be agnostic, so it says nothing about personal belief. Everyone either does or does not believe in a god even if they won’t admit it.
It has been said many times and will continue to be said that no one can provide absolute proof of non-existence of anything. It takes credulous ridiculous people to use that a reason to believe that anything and everything can exist. Just because I can’t say that faeries 100% do not exist is not the slightest reason to give credit to the idea that they do. We can know that the Christian god doesn’t exist though, that’s much easier to do. Overall I don’t think I am overly critical of agnostics, I dismiss agnosticism as an exclusive view, if someone can’t be honest with themselves about what they do or do not believe how are they going to provide points of worth to the discussion?
