I actually haven’t had any come by in quite a while. I think that the ones locally actually go out of there way to avoid me because I do often see them in my neighborhood. It makes it even more strange though because none have ever come by where I live now so it not as if they know to avoid me. Maybe they just sense it?

Whenever I had door to door evangelists of any kind come by in the past though I certainly wasn’t friendly. I would tell them openly and directly that I am Atheist and that I do not appreciate what they are doing and think it is a vile practice. Door to door evangelism has actually been shown to be fairly effective sadly. I actually came across an article not long ago citing research showing it is even more effective than most people would imagine. (I’m unable to find the link at the moment unfortunately.)

These people have no qualms with coming up to your door and telling you they can provide answers that they most certainly can not. They will smile to your face and sell you a lie. They are the snake oil salesman of the modern day. They deserve no respect and they deserve no adulation for what they do. I have absolutely no respect for those people.
