Anonymous asked: Hey man, just wondering what sort of blogs you follow? (just interested in the other stuff that you like to see on tumblr)
northcareer-deactivated20120111 asked: Can you talk a bit about your background? Did you have a religious up-bringing, which may have changed your view upon religion? Are your parents religious?
Anonymous asked: Could you please give your personal explanation? To me, "atheist" is a common noun, not a proper one, and I think it shows just a bit of humility. We don't think we're "holy" and so important that we should capitalize it like religions do. It's hard to explain, but I like it this way. It seems more natural, since "atheism" is the default stance for...
Anonymous asked: Not that I really care, but the American Atheist association doesn't capitalize "atheism." I'm not allowed to post the link here, but I quote, "American Atheists is dedicated to working for the civil rights of atheists, promoting separation of state and church, and providing information about atheism." If you're talking about the title, I hope you realize...
I just wanted to say I’m sorry for the lack of posts the last couple of days but it may be like that for most of the rest of the week. I am working long days and am extremely worn out but I have a bunch of asks sitting away. I’ve also had a lot of people ask me to elaborate on my support of the French burqa ban and will do my best to post about it soon. Just too tired to get to it now....
Anonymous asked: I don't think you're hateful of religion so much that you're hateful of anything that disagrees with you.
Anonymous asked: Have you reached 1,000 followers?
starsinthewaterfall asked: I often wonder why people feel the need to challenge Atheists over "hating" religion. They whip out this accusation as though said hatred would be an indictment of a person's character. When in reality, what Atheists are actually expressing hatred for, is a mass delusion which causes death, oppression and misery. Theists approach the issue from the usual claim that religion is a...
Anonymous asked: Do you actually hate religion? I'd class myself as an Atheist but I'd never say I hate religion.
Anonymous asked: "Thanks for following my blog page though and taking the time to read the posts of someone you just consider 'ignorant', makes perfect sense." Isn't it amazing how hypocritical you are? You call the Bible and other religious texts ignorant, and thanks to the First Amendment, you're allowed to. So am I. If you can't take a bit of honest criticism, how dare you...
Anonymous asked: I don't think you're hateful of religion at all, actually. You are hateful only of Islam and by extension, the followers of Islam who are made up largely of non whites. It's weird that you keep up this charade of hating all religion when you really only hate us non white people who tend to be the typical followers of Islam. Why keep up the little fantasy of being an equal hater of...
Anonymous asked: You really are sort of an "amateur" atheist account. You don't amount to some of the bigger leagues with actually intelligent opinions. While I've followed you, I've seen you recommend we capitalize "atheist," that all atheists who are financially dependent on their parents should tell them about their religious views (because lying is a NO-NO), and that France...

Anonymous asked: Hey there. I wonder if you could give me a full view on Islam because I'm a Muslim, but I'm very open-minded and I wanted to know your opinion on it. Because not all Muslim are terrorists. There are even terrorists who use Islam as an excuse to terrorize other country, among other things. Please and thanks.
Anonymous asked: I was born and raised a Christian, but thankfully my mum and dad aren't that religious, they just to stick the religion they grew up with. They never pushed me or forced religion on me, and they allowed me to grow up and think for myself. Which is what I have done. I'm not christian anymore, I just don't believe in that shit. But I think you are a hypocrite. Religion causes hate...
serveonlythyself asked: In regards to the reason people still label themselves Christians, even when they disagree with the group and it's ways on many significant issues (gay rights, etc.): I think a lot of people still label themselves Christians because aside from the church, they still believe in Christ / believe they are saved, therefore they're still a "Christian". So, they aren't...
nas550 asked: I was on a subway recently, and the only seat available had a pamphlet that read "Do you know where you're going for eternity?" the back read some scripture saying "Those who dont believe are already condemned". Now I'm a stone cold atheist, but there's been a whirlwind of horrible events in my life recently. A part of me wishes there WAS someone or something to...
Anonymous asked: Yes, I'm a Christian, no, I don't hate you if you are gay, bi-sexual, etc. No, I don't hate people of other religions, I will treat you just the same. No, I don't spew out bible scriptures left & right, I find it annoying & unnecessary when people do that. No, I don't talk about my religion non-stop, I actually avoid conversing about it, because if you don't...
Anonymous asked: What do you think about the 'Illuminati' stuffs? I'm curious. If you're willing to answer, then thank you! :)
Anonymous asked: I recently converted to Atheism after a self-realization and mere self-honesty but I feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable discussing religion with all my friends because I'm afraid there just might be a slight chance I'm wrong. Advice, please? I really don't want to keep converting, I just want to believe something or believe that something doesn't exist. That's it.

Anonymous asked: Jesus loves you. He will never give up on you.
Anonymous asked: For some reason I think you're sexy. I know I've never seen your face, so don't judge me!
didacticism asked: I think if you made your tumblr more personal it would make it better than it already is. I mean, we don't even know your name, and I know you've spoken about your family, but to me it just seems like you're an ask box that renders answers. I think the connection with a real human being would benefit everyone that seeks your advice or even challenges your views. A bit ironic since...
Have to love how most the notes on my post about Muslims wanting to murder people leaving their religion deal with how upset people are that I averaged 7 numbers that they don’t feel have equal representation, not the fact that large numbers of people in heavily Islamic countries think we should murder others for a change of their world view.
I love you internet, you never let me down.

Anonymous asked: What advice would you give to a thirteen year old living in a Hindu community converting to atheism?
Anonymous asked: so, do you celebrate christmas at all, considering you're totally against religion?
Anonymous asked: I'm wanting advice. I finally want to change my religion status in my about me on facebook. I want to use a simple philosophical one liner quote. But, I can't decide on what to use. I was even thinking about using quotes from Dawkins or Sagan. I want people who read it to have to think about it (mainly because most of my friend list consists of super christians) Any suggestions?

Anonymous asked: What's your view on Hinduism?
Anonymous asked: Do you ever get bored of getting asks about religion?
Anonymous asked: Do you think religion was a necessary evil for humans moral development? if so would you say the same today?
great-old-one asked: Inspired by the last ask you posted, what (with regards to atheism, unless you want to comment otherwise) are you thoughts on Christopher Hitchens? While I hold him as something of a god, if you'll excuse the pun, some other atheists have said they find him frivolous or lacking substance in his arguments.

wf5lookalive asked: What are your thoughts on people picking and choosing parts of certain religions and then applying it to their life, concocting their own unique, designer brand of religion and philosophy, as such? Provided that this does not lead to major contradiction within the one person, or enormous hypocrisy, do you deem this 'acceptable'?
Anonymous asked: Any advice for an atheist who is terrified of death? I know this is probably stupid as I have no control over it and it's pointless to worry about it, but I'm honestly terrified. You don't seem to be. I can't get it out of my head all the time, the idea of not existing. I guess I'm just so attached to my consciousness that the idea of it disappearing for an infinite...

Anonymous asked: Do you believe that concerned Atheists should form a temporary alliance with Christians to combat the (greater) threat of radical Islam? While I fear what Christians do here in the US, I think we agree that the practices in the Muslim world (stoning, denying women rights, forced circumcision, total influence of religion) are the bigger threat. Besides, most atheist friends of mine grew up...
